WRETCHED WOOD WHEEL
Wretched Wood Wheels is a quirky 2D puzzle platformer that combines precision slingshot mechanics (inspired by Angry Birds) with rugged hill-climbing physics (inspired by Hill Climb Racing). Launch your rickety wooden vehicle across tricky terrain and master the physics to reach the finish line!

This game combines a light-novel-inspired narrative with rhythm-based gameplay, featuring the cultural theme of Tết and the mythical Qilin. Players follow a story-driven experience while engaging with rhythm mechanics inspired by Vietnamese culture and traditional Tết celebrations. The game explores Vietnamese cultural symbols through a modern visual and gameplay style, creating an interactive experience that combines storytelling, music, and cultural elements.

This project explores a new technique for creating a video game by combining a shadow-based gameplay mechanic, inspired by games like Thief, with 2D characters in a 3D environment. The main focus is on experimenting with how shadows can influence gameplay and create unique interactions between the 2D characters and the surrounding 3D world.
